Bayawak the Lizard is Wicker Darling's debut backpack design! We don't mind admitting: he's a bit of an experiment at this point, but should he be received well, there's a good chance we'll lean into backpacks and see what works! 

Bayawaks straps are adustable, so you can adjust to suit your tastes! A strong magnetic closure keeps his lid shut, and he'll fit your smartphone, small wallet,and smaller odds and ends. 

  • Hand Made, Limited Number Piece 
  • Product Measurements: Xcm at widest circumference, Xcm base to top (usable height is approximately Xcm). Approximate width is Xcm. Strap is Xcm end to end.
  • Materials: rattan, leather, cotton.
  • Lining: cotton lining. Will easily fit your phone, wallet, sunglasses, keys, and other odds and ends.
  • All handbags will arrive with a hand signed collector card, and a bespoke dust bag for storage.

Bayawak the Wicker Lizard Backpack is lovingly crafted by hand by weavers in the Philippines. As such, each and every bag will have minor differences, whether it's in the wicker, leather work, or other finishings. These are not faults, but rather a signature of hand craftsmanship from natural materials.

Delivery Information

At Shoe Fun, we know you're excited to receive your new treasures — so we get your order on its way as quickly as possible after you complete your purchase!


Australian Delivery

  • Free delivery on all orders over $300
  • Flat rate of $15 on orders under $300
  • Need it sooner? Express postage is available for an additional fee — simply select this option at checkout
  • We ship via Australia Post Parcel Post, including large or bulky items

Delivery Timeframes Australian deliveries typically arrive within 3–10 business days. Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive an email with your Australia Post tracking number so you can follow its journey.

💡 If you won't be home during business hours, we recommend using your work address to make sure someone's there to receive it!

International Delivery

We ship to a range of international destinations! If your country is available, it will appear as a delivery option at checkout. If you don't see your country listed, we may not currently ship there — but you're welcome to get in touch at info@shoefun.com.au and we'll see what we can do.

Please note that all customs duties and taxes are the responsibility of the purchaser.

A few things to know about international orders:

  • International shipping is charged at a flat rate per order
  • Due to package size restrictions, we're unable to pack more than 4 pairs or items per order
  • International delivery can take up to 3–4 weeks

Shipping to the UK We ship to the UK on orders over £135 (approximately $270 AUD) before postage, in line with post-Brexit requirements. Duties and taxes may apply on arrival and are the purchaser's responsibility.

Shipping to the USA We are not currently shipping or marketing to the United States.


Delivery During Sale Periods

When we do have a sale at Shoe Fun, they're worth the wait — but please do allow a little extra time for dispatch and delivery during busy sale periods. We appreciate your patience and promise we're working as fast as we can! 🌸

Return policy

Returns & Exchanges

At Shoe Fun, buying online should be a joy — and that includes the returns process. Here's everything you need to know.

Eligibility

To be eligible for an exchange or store credit, your item must:

  • Have been purchased within the last 14 days
  • Be unworn, undamaged, and unused
  • Be in its original condition
  • Be in its original packaging or shoe box

Once we receive your return, we'll assess it and let you know if it's eligible. Please include your proof of purchase and order number with your return.

Faulty Items

If your item arrives faulty, we'll do our best to send you a replacement. If a replacement isn't available, we'll issue a full refund back to your original payment method. You'll receive an email from us once this has been processed.

Wrong Size or Change of Mind

We're not able to offer refunds for incorrect size choice or change of mind, but we're happy to arrange an exchange or store credit instead.

Return Postage

Return postage is at your cost, unless the item is faulty.

Store Credits

Unless an item is faulty, returns are eligible for store credit only.


Sale & Discounted Items

Discounted & Sale Items We're happy to offer exchanges or store credits on discounted and sale items. This doesn't apply to Clearance items (see below).

Outlet & Clearance Items Clearance items are final sale — no exchanges, refunds, or store credits. An item is considered Clearance if it's marked as such, listed in the Clearance collection, or noted as Clearance in the product description.


Order & Pre-Order Cancellations

A 10% restocking fee applies to all cancelled orders and pre-orders.


Tips for Trying On Shoes

We want you to love your shoes — and to be able to return them if needed! To keep them in returnable condition while you try them on:

  • Try shoes on carpet to protect the soles
  • Pop on a stocking to avoid marking the lining
  • Handle light-coloured materials with clean, dry hands
